    naming a league

    I want to try starting a league. I have what I think to be a pretty good name, I went through the league names under the arena tab and one was really close, but it only has one member, and they don't look active (old style avatar, but doesn't have any of the 6, 12, whatever, badges so I don't think they've been logging in). I also went to the league tag registry and didn't find anything. Now I am realizing many many leagues put punctuation and symbols and stuff before their name, and I really don't want to go through all those pages. Do I just name it what I want and see if anyone comes at me pissed off? What is the convention for this?

    I'd say call it what you want. You can always change it later if someone has a problem with it and you want to mollify them or if you just want to. There are lots of leagues that are semi-abandoned for a variety of reasons but as it costs to create them and/or someone wants to maintain a win/loss record, some will place an alt there as a placeholder.
